Water Cooler Cup Star

Consisting entirely of water cooler cups, this star is refreshingly easy to make.

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Apply a few small drops of hot glue to the rim of a cup and quickly adhere a second cup to the first, rim to rim. Make nine glued pairs and let dry.

Glue rims of cups together

Step 2: Glue these nine pairs together to form a circle — apply glue near the bottoms of the cones, as shown. Let dry.

Glue first layer of cups together

Step 3: Glue nine cups on top of the circle to form a second layer; let dry.

Good to Know: For these step-by-step photos, we used slightly larger cups than we’re recommending you use — resulting in layers with different quantities of cups than we’re specifying in our instructions. Use the step-by-step photos to understand the process used to create this star; use our instructions to understand how many cups are needed for each layer.

Step 4: Glue four additional cups on top of the previous layer and let dry.

Step 5: If you desire, glue a wire loop to the back for hanging.
